Baseball Games

Joker Marchant Stadium hosts the Detroit Tigers for spring training, as well as, several minor league teams.  The season begins in February with a game almost every afternoon.

Hollis Botanical Garden

Hollis Garden sits on historic Lake Mirror located in the middle of Lakeland. The 1.2 acre formal garden contains over 10,000 flowers, ornamental shrubs, and native trees, as well as, manicured walkways and fountain.

The Terrace Hotel and Grille

The Terrace Hotel is a historic luxury hotel operated now by the Hilton chain and valued for its location and service. It's a fantastic location for business or personal use.  The Terrace Grille was renovated in 2022 keeping the classic art deco style.  The cuisine is fresh, locally sourced and highly rated.

Polk Art Museum

An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the Polk art museum features an extensive permanent collection including contemporary art, modern art, Pre-Columbian, Asian, European and American Decorative Arts. It is one of Florida's lesser known gems and shouldn't be passed up.

Twenty exhibitions rotate throughout its nine galleries each year. An outdoor garden showcases several permanent sculptures.
